Not alot really, not spent a whole lot of time on the computer this week. Haven't felt very creative, been potty training-which actually is going very well. DS seems to picking it up very fast. I don't think he's actually had a dirty pull-up or undies in awhile. Dh said he even got up at 6 am the other morning to go to the potty!
I walked into the bathroom tonight, where I found 3 pull ups on the floor... CLEAN ones mine you lol. He thinks that everytime he goes he should get a clean pull up or underwear, depending on his mood. Go figure this is the ONLY one of our kids to actually use pull ups successfully.
I am so utterly exhasuted so instead of rambling on and on and making absolutely no kind of sense.. I am just going to go to bed.
G'Nite!

While I Was Gone...
So in the hopes of not losing my mind (and I do mean that quite literally), I took off this past weekend. I went up and visited a friend in the Sacramento area for an overnight visit.
The 2 hour drive up was very relaxing as I didn't have anyone in the backseat smacking anyone in the head or calling anyone a "big stupid dummy head." Just me, my big ole' truck and 2 country stations... yes I am a hick, And dern proud of it lol. It's funny though since I was raised in Northern California nearly my whole life, but I'm as country as they come.
Saturday night, we did a little pre-dinner shopping because I sort of forgot to bring a few things, you know like PJ's, deodarant, toothpaste and toothbrush. I did manage to remember the important things... the laptop and camera. I purposely didn't bring an extra t-shirt because I had planned on getting a few new ones that actually fit from Target.
We ate dinner at Macaroni Grill.. we both had the Create your own Pasta bowls and split a plate of Brushetta. I had a Midori Sour, yummmmy! There was a tiny mix up with the type of meat my friend had ordered in her dinner, even though it was correct just because she thought otherwise, they bought us dessert. So we ended up splitting this insanely huge and chocolatey piece of goo they referred to as cake. It was good.. we both had about 3 bites each before we decided one more and we would be saying hello to our dinner again.
We attempted to hit up the Jackson Rancheria (Indian Casino), the only thing we succeeded in there was getting parking and finding a restroom. It was INSANLEY crowded. No available machines and so many people walking around it was like a cattle drive. So, then we decided to call it a night and headed home.
Sunday, we had planned on going to the Farmer's Market in El Dorado Hills... that didn't happen either. My friend dyed my hair for me instead and apparently, I don't just have a few gray hairs.
After we both showered and got dressed, we headed out for some lunch at Mimi's Cafe. Hit a few shops, nothing major... I needed a new pair of flips because the sandals I had been walking around in gave me a few blisters... I've had and been wearing the shoes for over a year and NOW I get a blister. Go figure.
We were going to do her son's 2 yr portraits but little man got a bit crabby and fell asleep in the car, so that didn't happen either. Once we got back to the house, it was getting late and I needed to head out. I wanted to stop on the way home and get a haircut. My hair is so overgrown on top and it was bugging me to no end. I like it much better now, I had her thin it out and layer the top so my curls *could* come out and play. Literally, I was back on the road in 10 minutes lol.
I got home around 6... what did I find? Well, surprisingly enough the house was not in shambles.... however my youngest son does not have any eyebrows. I'll have to get a pic of that later on.
More shopping....
Last week, I applied and got approved for a Target Visa. Well, ok.. DH got approved but it's *my* card. I had decided that now I can get all the home furnishings and such that I wanted to get 2 years ago when we first moved in here.. I'm just going to do it a little bit at a time. So I went on to Target last night to start making my wishlist. I wanted to get some really cute Dinosaur bedding for my 2 youngest boys and so when I logged on last night, I found that Target has a twin size Dinoland bed in a bag on sale... 75% off!!!!! So, I snagged 2 sets at 14.99 a piece.. how great of a deal is that?? The bag set comes with fitted sheet, flat sheet, pillowcase, bedskirt, pillowsham, and comforter. Here's a pic...
Isn't that super cute?? I thought so :o)
That's all I've got for you for now, be sure to check back tomorrow and thanks for reading!!

I am so NOT ready for this!
I thought that I was ans I know it's going to be fine, I just hate the anticipation of "can he handle this?" and not knowing til 2:30 when he gets home how it all went. And then he'll come home and everything will have went off without a hitch. After the first week, I'll be fine lol.
If you haven't guessed yet, my son has started 1st grade.
Last night, we went to the Back to School night for my 11 yr old and my 6 yr old. I met with Braeden's (6 yr old) teacher. He seems pretty nice, but not too nice that the kids will get away with too much. He's consistant and I like that. He's been teaching for 13 yrs, most of that has been 1st grade. he said he taught 2nd grade one year and 8th grade another but he loves teaching the 1st graders.
He seems to be one of those teachers who goes beyond the district standards but not in a pushy way. He has reasonable expectations, so that's nice.
I also met with Alex's teacher but I already know her because she was his teacher last year. She moved up to 6th grade with her class this year so it's nice that they will have that consistancy and I like her too.
Next month, I will have to meet with Kyle's teachers, which will be interesting because he is starting 7th grade and will have multiple teachers, plus we have issues they should know about.
Anway, I think that's it for now. I have to get my butt in gear and get cleaning before the kids get back from the park and mess it up! Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Kids... ya love em.. but sometimes you just wanna smack em *L*
But in a good way of course, I would NEVER advocate smacking a child for no good reason *L*
*Sigh* Talk about feeling old and decrepit.. yesterday we were just sorta hanging out at home. DH had just gotten home from a motorcycle ride and he flipped on a free On Demand movie to watch with the kids... Men In Black.
Dh was choosing from the HD on Demand menu..So DS #1 (turning 13 this month), says "HD??? They had HD WAY back then???" *sigh* The movie is only 10 yrs old lol.
And then he turns to me and says "Were you born when this movie came out??" So he either thinks, that I am really young.. or the movie is REALLY old.
Then DH proceeds to tell him that when we were young we didn't have "talkin pitcher boxes", mind you when we were young we had Star Wars.

Happy Birthday, My Sweet Boy
I don't have the original length birth story anymore but I will give you the condensed version as best as I remember it.
April 2004 (2.5 yrs)
Beginning my story with this lovely photo.. Please forgive the horrid quality as this was pre-digital and this was resized and slightly enlarged by photobucket.
This lovely photo was taken on June 30th, 2001... your due date. I had a rather complicated yet easy pregnancy with you. I suffered from late onset Gestational Diabetes and Polyhydramnios (excess of amniotic fluid) on top of my pre-existing medical conditions. Your MeeMaw flew in all the way from California for your grand entrance. She came a week early thinking that would be enough time. a week before and a week after.. little did we know that you were nice an cozy in there and refused to come out on your own. Despite the long walks with continous contractions (2 miles on your EDD), you weren't gunna budge.
So on July 3rd, 2001 at 5 am I was admitted into Labor and Delivery for an induction. At 11:14 am you made your way into the world weighing 7 lbs 13 oz and 20 inches long. You were so cuddly and so perfect, and you still are.

Major Procrastination
So, I've got some major procrastinating going on today.. not that I don't want to work.. I just get caught up in the "clickage".
I am participating in the Amazing Digiscrap Race. I am partnered up with Pamela Gibson and together we are the (Dynamic) Designer Duo! I added the Dynamic.. it has a nice ring to it.
We have a race blog set up, you can get to it by clicking the Designer Dup blinkie right over there in the sidebar. We haven't done much with it just yet since the race has yet to start.
In other news, Micheline Martin and I are working on a collab kit together. We don't expect it to be ready for purchase for a few weeks as we both have commitments that are keeping us tied up for the next few weeks but it is in the works! I can tell you this, it will be fantastic! Micheline is a gem to work with. We both sold together at SOTB and at OAKS and even though we don't sell together in a store, I have the pleasure of being her Head DigiHottie CTM.
Tomorrow is my middle son's 6th birthday.. really Im not sure where the time went. He has just graduated Kindergarten and will be starting First grade next week (year round education). Boy, time sure does fly by. Before you know it, I will be sending yet another one off to school! But with the next one, it will be a blessing lol. I love him to pieces but he sure is a handful and a half! He's the one who played barber on his baby brother.
Anyway, I think that's about it. Im being kicked off my computer so my mom can look something up online. Thanks for reading!

Ok now that that is out of my system, I have some product reviews for y'all.
Up first:
ScrapQuick.com does a GORGEOUS job on prints. I was having one heck of a time finding an online printing service that took paypal AND did 8x10 prints. All I wanted to do was get the inserts for my memory purse done..but all my money was stuck in my paypal account. So I posted over at DST and even though she doesn't offer them, Christine Smith over at ScrapQuick was willing to do 8x10 inch prints for me at the 8x8 inch price. What a sweetheart! And it gets better.. I ordered sometime last week and it only took about a week (or less) to have them in my hands and they are GORGEOUS! The color is amazing, so bright and vivarant, they are just amazing! and a pretty good price too. The 8x8 price is 1.50 per print and a flat rate shipping fee of $5.
So thank you thank you THANK you Christine Smith!!
Second, I got a free Venus Breeze razor in the mail the other day. It's one of those razors that has the built in shave gel in it. Not the one with body butters that looks like it's about the size of an early 90's cell phone, this one is smaller andit's purple. It does get a little slimey when wet but it does a really good job at getting a close shave and no fuss with any extra shave gel or anything, just get it wet and go to town!

Yesterday, my mom and SIL picked me and the kids up and we went to my brother's softball game. Which we didn't even see any of because we were busy having a picnic and visiting with my Aunt, who was in town from San Diego, and my Gramma. I have never been so relaxed around my children in my life lol. I guess it's alot easier when they are kept quiet by shoving food iin their faces lol. Since I got a break, I gave my SIL a break from my niece. She's 12 months and SIL is about 15 wks pregnant and just worn out and frazzled. I remember that feeling, plus I like to snuggle with Lexi every chance I get. That child is a pig LOL! She ate just about everything and anything. Mainly she wanted the fruit, which I totally don't blame her, it was really sweet. So she horked down some watermelon and cantaloupe, had a bite of cheese and lunchmeat, but that wasn't fruit so back to the melon lol. Oh and some cookies too.
She fell asleep before we even left the parking lot lol. Good thing we had about a 30-45 min ride home.
We were supposed to go to my MIL's tonight for a BBQ and to celebrate DS #3's birthday (it's on Tuesday) but DH left me stranded without a car b/c he thought his bike was fixed when he picked it up and it's not, they are still waiting for parts so he had to take the truck to the race. So my mom is kidnapping my kids for the day, ahhh quiet, what will I do with myself??
