I've actually been home for a little over a week now. Sorry I didn't updated sooner, I was workin' hard for the money (lol!) and getting reacclimated to real life..because everyone knows that (semi) vacation life and real home life are 2 entirely different things. Even spending money is different.
So, update on my Dad. He was supposed to have the surgery on Friday (the 18th) but on Thursday evening he had a little episode where he got really queasy and dizzy and you could see he wasn't well. All the color drained out of his face and nearly his whole left side went weak and numb. at first it hought h had a heart attack, since he's in for heart problems and all but thankfully no. They thought he might have had a stroke or a mini-stroke but he didn't. They had to cancel the surgery on Friday until they heard back from the Neurologists. So they cleared him and rescheduled for first thing Monday (the 21st) morning. I spent Sunday with and then Monday with him. He was still out cold and sedated when I finally had to leave (7 hrs after surgery was complete). They released him just last Saturday and he is staying with friends until he can do more for himself.

Getting ready to leave...
Just sitting up here tonight finishing up packing and tying up loose ends. Good news is that I am taking my DH's pocket pc with me so that I can check email and use messenger. So at least I wont go completely insane.
I don't know why but I am always nervous about going places by myself. Even though I've flown several times, i always like to have someone with me until I get settled. Im always afraid Im going to get stuck or screw something up, silly I know.
I have a friend who I haven't seen in 2.5 yrs picking me up so that will be nice to see her again.
I better get my butt in bed though.. gotta get up early and get outta dodge.

Long time No blog.. lots to tell.
Wow, it's been awhile since my last blog. I've had alot going on over here the last few weeks.
Next, a bit of not so great news. My dad went into the hospital last week for heart problems. They found out that he has 12 blocked arteries, 3 of which are bad enough (2-80% and 1 100%) to require a quadruple bypass. So, tomorrow I am flying out to New Jersey for a week. He'll have the surgery on Friday and then I leave on Tuesday to come home. I am not sure how long after the surgery he will have to stay in the hospital and recover. So, I may be leaving before he is released.
Anyhoo... I will be back online next Wed. I won't have any internet access while Im gone as my dad is severly behind the times LOL. I also, wont have a new product to release for next week either so that kinda sucks. Hopefully I'll come home with some fab new ideas though.
See ya laters!

I win, I win, I win!!!!
Holy crap it's a freakin miracle!
Background:
About a month or so ago, I told Dh and kids that if they wanted clean clothes then they needed to bring them down to me and I would be happy to wash and fold them. But if they failed to do so then they could do it themselves.
Ok so tonight, I'm folding some towels and Dh asks me to do his uniforms for work. I said "Sure honey, go get em" (this is where it gets interesting).
He says something to the effect of No, or something assanign like that, I dunno I wasn't really listening.
So I said "Fine ok then you can do them yourself." And went upon my business. For an hour and a half, I made little comments like "Wow our laundry smell SO good with this new detergent I just bought!" and "I just love how well this cheap ass fabric softener works!" as I folded the laundry.
So, we finish watching a show that we had previously recorded on the DVR, he hands me the remote (signal that he's going to bed) and gets up. I get up and follow him (he likes to be tucked in and kissed goodnight) upstairs. On my way up, I'm picking up wads of strewn about toliet paper b/c my 3 and 4 yr olds think it's just the funnest toy ever! I swear being the only girl in this house who uses TP the most often, we go through more TP than an entire HOUSE FULL of girls.
Anyway, he starts throwing his dirty clothes into the hallway. (HOLY FREAKIN MIRACLE!) I'm silently snickering, I smile and sweetly say "Oh thanks babe!". I tuck him into bed, take his clothes, throw them into the wash and come straight here to post my victory.
Ahh, yes, victory is mine.

And now we wait...
Well, my 12 yr old went and distributed my flyers within our neighborhood today. So now all I can do is wait for someone to call. I offered a special price for new customers, so maybe that will entice someone to call for more information. My new cell phone is on it's way too.
Wish me luck!

Fly Baby Fly!
Well, last night I maed and printed up a bunch of flyers to pass out around my neighborhood. Maybe I can get some scrap for hire jobs out of it too LOL. Ok, so I wont hold my breath on that one. I also bought myself a prepaid cell phone so that I don't have strange(r) people calling my house looking for me. Well that and incase of emergency.
So it looks like Im really gunna do this... and now that reality is setting in.. I'm getting nervous lol.
Oh and if I start to hate it.. please somebody smack me because even though DH agreed to let me have a stab at it.. he said and I quote "I reserve the right to say I told you so" and there is nothing I hate more than when he proves me wrong. There's no way, I'm letting him be right.
