C-A-K-E!

Hmmm I love Cake!!

Since it's been a good couple days since anyone has thrown up and Dan is working a race this weekend so I figured it would be a good time to make Liam's birthday cake. So Liam and I went into the kitchen and made his cake. I measured out all the ingredients and let him pour them in the mixer.

After we poured in the mix, he asks "Can we get the frosting now?" lol. After the batter was done mixing he asks, "Can I wick (lick) it??" I "No, you can't wick it, it has raw eggs in it," she says as she wipes up a stray drip off the counter and "wicks" her finger. Such a hypocrite I know.. it was good though.

I can smell it.. ahh there is the timer, time to go turn off the oven! Oh by the way, incase you were wondering.. it's Vanilla Rainbow Chip.

I hate it when they do that!

Ok AMC fans- are ya with me? This may contain spoilers so do not read if you have not watched today's show (air date 12.06.07).

Ok, FINALLY Adam found "Kathy's" birth certificate underneath his sofa in the library.. after how long? A year now? I think Adam's maid needs firing if she couldn't bother to clean up underneath the sofa.. can you imagine the dustbunnies?

However, this is the PERFECT oppertunity for Adam to redeem himself in Tad's eyes and win Krystal back w/ baby Jenny in tow. I kinda knew it was coming because of how much Julia & Kathy were playing in Tad's life recently.

But of course, they drop the bomb and find the certificate 15 minutes before the show ended. I will say that I am thankful that today is only Thursday and I don't have to wait for Monday to find out what is going to happen but you know they are going to drag this out until Christmas time. Why? Because Father Clarence will be back and he always has to lead us to the good. I do love that role though.. I just wish they wouldn't drag it on for SO long.

Arg! Ok.. i think Im done with my rant LOL.

Kids, Gotta love em

At least that's what I've been told. My kids think they are SO funny, mine love to remind me how old I am. Now, mind you I am not old! I am actually a pretty young mom, especially given that I am in my early thirties and my oldest child is 13. But you know kids, they think anything over 25 is ancient. Of course it doesn't help that DH keeps telling them that he is older than dirt and dinosaurs roamed the earth, with me being not much younger that makes me ancient as well. Like I should be in some sort of senior living center or something. Although, now that I think about it.. that might be kind of a nice break.

Ok, back to reality. I am on a little quest, I have to get a belated bday present for my son Liam, who missed his birthday celebration because he got sick and Dan and I have no clue what to get! I have no idea what to do for Christmas either. I told Dan to pick out the birthday gift but he couldnt think of anything either, or rather he didn't get anything because I didn't know what to tell him to get.

So, what do your 5 year old boys like these days?

Stuff that makes you go Hmmm??

Hey y'all. Sorry for my lapse in bloggies. The sickies have hit our house and we are all getting over the flu.

But I do have a little something for you today! Thanks to my good friend Pamela for showing me this and giving me a good giggle.

There is this stuff called Gelli Baff and it's this stuff for your kids baths. You pour in the powder and it turns your bathwater into Nickelodeon looking you-cant-do-that-on-television gooey slime. And then when your kids are done sloshing around in goop, you pour the Goo Dissolver in and it magically dissolves the goo back into water.

And the best part is.. it doesn't stain your kids! LOL, that lil bit just made me giggle, because my kids turn themselves different colors very well on their own. They don't need much helo in that department.

There's a video commercial too lol. Here have a look. I can't embed the video for the kids version here so scroll down a little bit on the website and watch. However, they do have an adult version as well.. Gotta say it looks relaxing.. and it's purple. Purple Goo.

This one I CAN embed.

Sunday Somethings

Ok, I lied.. more enabling :) Click to enlarge and everything is loaded up in my STORE. I am way too exhausted to link up everything that was in the sack lol. See below for long winded explanation.

My 6 year old got the stomach flu on Wednesday or Thursday, too tired to remember. Luckily for me, this child is the most well behaved sick person ever. He lays there and sleeps. He didn't get hit very hard with the bug, he threw up a few times, refused all foods and slept for about 12 hours straight and was fine the next day.

Fast forward to Friday night, DH goes out to a hockey game with our 11 yr old and his sister, it's over late so he spends the night at his mom's. Ok, no problem. Well, when Alex (11 yr old) is gone Greyson (3 yr old) doesn't sleep well. He's a cuddler. We tried getting him his own little toddler bed, he slept in it maybe a week before he decided he like a warm body next to him better.

Anyway, so around 11 pm, Greyson wakes up fussing and I took him up to bed with me. No big deal and I'm not surprised. I have trouble falling asleep and probably don't even fall out til 1 or so. About 4 am Greyson wakes up fussing, and then it happens. He pukes. He did manage to not do in my bed at all though so that was good.

So, then I gave him a bath, threw the things he did throw up on in the wash and try to get him back to bed. Well, that didn't happen. I was wide awake, having to go from a dead sleep into Mommy mode so I decided just to get up. I took him downstairs to watch cartoons on the couch.
I made some coffee, unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher, and made some jell-o. I figured I better make it now so it'd be ready for breakfast.. or whenever he decided he was hungry. He ended up throwing up in a bucket every 20 minutes for the next 4 hours.

So, anyone that knows me knows that I am an epileptic. Most of my seizures are brought on by lack of sleep. My having only 3 hrs of sleep was not a good thing. DH is gone this weekend working out of town, so I am alone with 3 small kids.

I called my mom at 7:30 to ask her to come get the 2 non-sick children so that I can take Greyson and go back to bed. So she does. She was going to take Liam (5 yr old) out for his birthday, to lunch and a movie so she just included Braeden as well.

About 2:45 pm she calls me and says "Guess What?" Ugh this cannot be good. Liam threw up his whole lunch. Luckily, it was in the bathroom and not in the middle of the table or on the floor.

So, she's saying she's gunna bring them home but Liam insists he's ok now and wants to go to the movie. The movie isn't for awhile yet so she decides to walk around the mall and see how he feels. He throws up in the middle of the mall. Ugh. Home they come.

Mom sticks around, we had Chinese food and watched a movie. The movie was called "Invisible" it was really good, rent it.

Liam fell asleep around 6 and took a good nap til bout 8pm. Then he woke up and had some jello.. then he puked and then diarrhea set in.. so he's sitting on the potty with a bucket in front of him literally. Poor kid. So my mom took the Lil ones and Alex with her to her house so that I wouldn't have to be up all night with 2 puking kids.

So I slept til 9 am and then I started cleaning like a mad person. I cleaned both bathrooms, my room, primed and painted all the walls with "artwork" on them and now I'm washing all the bedding so we can make the beds and then I can start on the rest of the laundry.

The kids are home, no one's puked in quite some time. I have 2 kids asleep, one on the couch and one on the floor. They others are watching The Santa Clause and eating pizza. Gosh, I hope everyone sleeps good tonight.

So, how was your weekend?

More Pretty Stuff

I have been thinking about buying a little bracelet for my new niece, Makayla, who is going to be gracing us with her presence really soon. Big sister Alexia has one with her name on it and I wanted to get her something to match. Also a little something for Lexi, when her sister comes so she doesn't feel left out. Could be a great Christmas gift!

I found this fun little site where I found a little something for Auntie. It's so cute, butterflies and all! Even comes in assorted colors, I am so all over one in purple. You know, to match the ring and pendant I have my other eye on.

They have all sorts of fun things there too, they've got bracelets, pendants, anklets, sports jewerly, wholesale fashion jewelry, the list goes on and on. Reasonably priced too.

There is my happy enabling post for the day. Enjoy!

I Completely Forgot!

I have a little funny for y'all. Everytime someone makes a referrence to my having a large family, my mind always goes blank for a witty comeback.. but not this time! Although it's really not that witty but it was funny!

The scene: Thanksgiving in a State Park with IL's and family friends.

Someone asks DH if we are Catholic. I overhear this from the appetizer table where I am talking to someone about Ebay and eating cheese n crackers. I say, "what's that about us being Catholic?"

DH says, "Oh so-n-so asked if we had so many kids b/c we were Catholic." I say, "Nope and we're not Irish, or Mormon either. We just don't have a tv."
