42 Years of stuff...

I am currently sitting over here at my Gramma's house helping my mom and my aunt pack up 42 years worth of stuff my Gramma had in her house before she moves and sells the house. One thing she pulled out of the closet was this little wall hanging that said "Sexy Grandma", I don't think I need to tell you that she did not hesitate to throw it in the trash. But can't you just imagine them parading around town in their sexy costumes and their big blue hairdoos? No? Me either really, the thought did give me a little giggle.

We have several people coming from Freecycle to pick up and pick through what we have left but for the most part it's all done. YEA Us! It feels so empty here though, I'm not used to this house being anywhere near empty. It's a little sad but she'll be happier to be near my Aunt and her family, she'll have plenty of people to do things with and we'll go and visit when we can.

ADSR Layouts

Yep, Im a slacker.. I have no excuse lol. Anyway, here are challenges 3-8. Only one of us had to do #6 so Rachel did it, which is why it's not here. Enjoy!

Happy Easter!

I hope you and all your families are having a great holiday and if you don't celebrate well then I hope you are having a super duper Sunday!

As for me, we are not really celebrating this year. Dan is off working a race and I am home with the kids doing all the normal stay at home mom Sunday stuff. Laundry, vacuuming, wiping out the bathroom sinks, you know all that good stuff.

In other news, Dan has declared this coming week "Mom's Vacation". I am being kicked over to my mom's house for the whole week. I was over there on Friday and I was actually able to work. I got alot of new stuff made so I am looking forward to having the week to just chill.

I'll be back on Thursday to pick up the kids because my mom got us tickets to go see The Wiggles in concert! My brother and sister inlaw had tickets to take the girls so my mom bought tickets for us and the little boys too, so we are all going!

Anyway, hope you all have a great rest of the day!

Funny Story..

My mom is probably going to throttle me for this but hey.. she doesn't read this unless I make her so what she doesn't know won't kill me.

I'm not really sure what prompted this but I remember her telling me this story about how awhile back she went to Lake Tahoe with some friends and she drank a whole bottle of Gold Schlager by herself and was so trashed that she rode back to the hotel in the trunk of the rental car. I am pretty sure it was something like a hatchback and I doubt she drank it by herself.. my mom is like 5'2 and weighs about 125 pounds so a whole bottle of hard liquor would knock her out like Mike Tyson.

But it does make for an interesting story...

Father's Day Gift Ideas

I know it's still March but I have been brainstorming gift ideas for hubby. The biggest complaint that man has (other than me not cleaning 24-7) is that he can never find his tools when he needs them. This is because Trouble and Trouble Jr. are always getting into them and strewing them all over the house, so they get lost. I am thinking a new set of tools are in order. I am just not sure which ones to get, I have been googling all over the place and have read good things about Delta machinery.

I would like to get him a sander so that he can sand down the dining table for me so we can refinish it. That's my summer project.. I would like to refinish the table and put some sort of protective coating on it because the kids really do a number on wood tables. And this table is somewhat special because his parents gave it to us and it's over 20 years old. It's a great table.

My job in this project is to reupholster the chairs, just get me a staple gun and let me have at it! A little bit scary the thought of me with a staple gun but I am pretty handy, at least I like to think so. Hey, I watch Trading Spaces.. it doesn't look all THAT hard!

I guess we'll see about that... hopefully I won't cut anything off.

Post To Be Continued...

Long Day!

Phew! It's been a long day. Actually, it was pretty relaxing. I spent the night over at my brother's house because he and my sister-inlaw had a funeral to attend and needed someone to watch the girls.

I forgot how easy kids who nap are. We headed out to the park and we played quite a bit. Up the slide, down the slide, up the slide... now swing! Kayla slept in the carrier the entire time.

We went home and had lunch and then Lexi took a 3 hour nap (!) and then we had snack. I had a nice day alone with the girls, but I am glad to be back home! Especially, since I got new sheets for my bed. I got one of those Bamboo bedding sets. They are really soft, they have this kind of satiny sheen to them but they are soft like cotton.

Anyway, I just wanted to check in and post real quick.. Hubby has an interview tomorrow and needs me to dohis wash so he can look nice. Gosh I hope he comes home with a J-O-B!

Have a good night everyone!

A Little Funny & Some Stuff...

Hey how about we start Saturday off with a joke?? My mom sent me this one in an email the other day. She works in a law firm...

Q: How many truck accident lawyers does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Three--one to turn the bulb, one to shake him off the ladder, and the third to sue the ladder company.

Ok.. anyway, today I have to go pick up Greyson's birthday cake. He told me he wanted a chocolate cake, with white frosting, and leaves. LEAVES?? Not entirely sure what that means but I will make sure this cake has some leaves on it. My 5 year old said that I should get him a Spiderman cake, which really isn't a bad idea however I wish he would have had this bright idea 4 days ago so I could have ordered it in time, oh well maybe next year we'll do Spiderman.

Alright, well the kids just came in from playing so I better go make lunch. I have more stuff to say for later so stay tuned!

Can U see me now?

I have been trying to find a place in town that has pretty cheap eyeglasses. The ones I am currently wearing I have had for at least 5 years. The nosepads are broken and they tend to fall off my face whenever I look down *giggle*. So yeah I think it's about time for a new pair.

I've noticed that with the trends, glasses are getting smaller and cuter.. and I look like I am wearing coke bottles in comparison!

In other news, my husband got a new cell phone the other day.. he's been playing with it non-stop. It doesn't help his friend keeps texting and sending him silly pictures. *Sigh* Men and their toys...

On Sunday, we are supposed to be having cake and ice cream over at my mom's to celebrate Greyson's birthday. I suppose I should let her know about it before we all show up on her doorstep, hehe.

Anyway, that's what's been going on with me.. hopefully a little more excitement to come soon.

Have a great day.

Think they're on to something?

I just received this in my email.. scary thing is.. I think they're on to something here.

MY NEXT LIFE

I want to live my next life backwards:

You start out dead and get that out of the way.

Then you wake up in a nursing home feeling better every day.

Then you get kicked out for being too healthy. Enjoy your retirement and collect your pension.

Then when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day.

You work 40 years until you're too young to work.

You get ready for High School : drink alcohol, party, and you're generally promiscuous.

Then you go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, and you have no responsibilities.

Then you become a baby, and then.........

You spend your last 9 months floating peacefully in luxury, in Spa-like
conditions - central heating, room service on tap, and then.............

You finish off as an orgasm.

I rest my case

Fly Away...

If you could go on any one of the many luxury vacations out there, where would you go and why?

I think that I would like to go somewhere tropical, or at the very least warm and sunny. I'd love to go on an Alaskan cruise or even on the Big Red Boat. The Big Red Boat would be ideal for someone like me who has a family, a large one at that. I think something that is geared towards families and children would be the way to go. Now if, it were just me then I might hightail it off to Jamaica or Mexico.

As for the why, do you really have to ask? I think it's pretty self explanitory. Besides the fact that I need a vacation, I've never been outside the US. Traveling into Canada long enough (about an hour) for my parent to "lose" me in a gift shop, doesn't count.
