Ring-A-Ding-WRONG!

I am always getting wrong phone numbers but usually from the same person or someone looking for the same person. I've lived here for over 3 years now with the same exact phone number. One guy, I think he likes to call me and pretend he has the wrong number and the other is just plain weird. I have been getting calls for a Dr's office. Not just any doctor's office but one I was referred to by my primary. She's a neurologist and I didn't start getting the phone calls until after he referred me.

The one I just got was for an Andrew Borovoy, umm who?? Sounds like some sort of Russian diplomat huh? I am starting to wonder if it will ever end or am I doomed to a life of being on the receiving end of everyone else's calls?? You'd think with speed dial that no one would ever accidently dial the wrong number ever again!

*Yawn*

Happy Sunday everyone- Hope you are all having a nice relaxing day. Here I sit as I get myself (and my store) ready for National Scrapbooking Day, so no rest for the weary. I've got a whole list long of things I've got to get done before the big day.

I didn't really sleep too well last night I don't think. No crazy dreams from me so that's a plus but my back is hurting and I am still tired. That and I didn't get to sleep in this morning. I think what I could really use, since I have to sit here pretty much all day, is one of those massage chairs. Oooh a vibrating computer chair.. I might never leave this spot. Ok, so I wouldn't leave this spot anyway, but at least my back would feel better!

Ok, enough procrastinating from me.. I've got some things to turn out. Have a great day!

Kinda Funny..

Or slightly humorous at best.

I recently discovered (via my stat counter) that the post I made about the restless leg syndrome meds was being linked to and talked about on a poker forum. I was sitting here checking my stats and it shows me a referring link if it's available. So I see something in there from a poker forum.. so of course out of sheer curiousity I go and read the thread. It really gave me a good chuckle.. I was envisioning all these guys (and gals too) sitting around their poker tables and chatting it up about my blog.

Insert giggle here, still makes me laugh.

Oh, here's another funny for you. I was having a dream this morning while I was half asleep. And really, I'm sitting here trying to think of how to word this and I really want to bust out laughing.

Here goes.. I was in this place and I think that I worked there and in walks Gina Miller to pick up some supplies, not sure why seeing as how we all work in cyber space. But I was walking around and my jeans just fell off. This has actually been a real problem for me because I dont think that the jeans I have are the right cut for my body type. I have hips so they should stay up just fine, but they don't and I'm always hiking them up.

Anyway, back to the dream.. so my pants fall down so I quickly pick them back up and Miss Gina happens to see this and we're having a good laugh about it. I made the comment that I thought my butt was too flat anymore and I made a joke that I thought I needed a butt lift. So, then I said (more seriously) that I needed those panties that had the "butt thing on them" to which the next thing I heard was my husband saying "WHAT???" because I had actually said it out loud in my sleep!! Oh my Gosh! So thenI had to explain that I was having a dream and I was talking in my sleep. So then we laughed.. and I had to explain further about these underwear things that have those cushy butt implants attached, kind of like the chicken cutlets for your bra but for your butt.

So, yeah I woke up laughing hysterically this morning.

Calgon, Take me Away!

Ever had one of those days, ok scratch that of course you have. Well, so have I! Today was no exception. I think the kids are getting tired of being on school break. They go back to school tomorrow but I think today would warrant a very long and very hot bubble bath. What I wouldn't give right now for one of those walk in tubs right now! My little tub just isn't cuttin' it. That's one thing I will be sure my bathroom house has when we finally get to purchase a home.

For now though I will just have to settle for my mom's hot tub. If the spa repair guys ever get around to coming over to fix it that is. Nah, I'm just teasing.. they had to order a part and are waiting on that so they can't do anything til it comes in. But when it does and they get it fixed I am moving in! I hope my husband doesn't mind my running away on a weekly.. ok maybe daily basis. (Hehe, just kidding babe. Sorta. Ok not really.)

Pretty soon, Liam will be starting Kindergarten. Tomorrow when I go down to pick up Braeden from school I have to drop off some final papers for his registration. He is SO excited, and so is mommy! Greyson is such an angel when he doesn't have someone around to cause trouble with.

Trying out a new signature below, be sure to stop by and tell me what you think, if you like the new one or think I should stick to my old one :)

Sittin around...

I'm just sitting around tonight, watching American Idol (an hour+ late), I won't say anything too specific just incase but after tonight I think Brooke is going home this week. You know what I'm talkin' about!

On Friday, I am going over to my brother's house to babysit my nieces so my sister in law can go to a doctor's appointment. She's also asked me to do a Princess photo shoot for her birthday invites and to do the invites as well! I can't wait for that.. I bought her a little dress up trunk for Christmas and it has some awesome Princess type things in there, it will be perfect for props!

Speaking of my brother's house, they've owned it a little over a year now and they are getting around to redecorating some of the rooms. When they first moved in they did the girls' rooms and things like the formal living room but when we were there this past weekend they've painted a little nook off the kitchen and installed a little bar, which is pretty cool looking. I think I heard him saying something about new indoor lighting as well, but I am not sure.

Anyway, that's what's going on this week. I am hoping to have some new stuff in my Oscraps store as well, so keep an eye out!

Stair Lift to heaven....

Oh my gosh, I just saw one of the most funniest things here on the net. It's one of the cute funny things that you just have to laugh at because it is almost ridiculous. Assuming this pup has no medical issues keeping him from actually climbing the stairs all by himself.

There is a bulldog in Germany named Henry. Henry has got a stair lift. Yep, you heard it right... stair lifts for a dog. Now, like I said before I am not sure that he has any medical conditions beyond short stumpy legs that keep him from climbing the stairs on his own. I have never owned an english bulldog, although I think they are incredibly cute and would love to have one someday, so I don't know if they just can't do stairs.

You can read more about Henry here.

X Marks the Spot!

Ooh a treasure hunt, who's up for a treasure hunt? I am, I am! Duh, don't have to tell me twice!!

This company I am currently doing freelance work for is having a really cool contest rigt now. They are putting on a Treasure Hunt hosted by jewelegance.com. Now, if you know me at all you know I am a bling-lovin gal.

Whenever I am in a jewelry store just browsing all the eye candy, I always seem to pick out the most expensive piece in the joint. Whether it be diamond earrings, diamond rings, or pendants.. I always pick the one that costs the most. I swear it's like a gift or something. I'm not sure my husband would see it that way though.

This ring even has a matching pendant, so gorgeous and so totally me. It is amethyst and tanzanite and it's a butterfly.. PURPLE BUTTERFLY!! Uh yeah, it's calling my name.

Anyway, sorry for the off topic rant there, as I was saying about this treasure hunt. One of the requirements is that I write this post telling you about it. The first lucky winner will be getting a 14k Gold Anklet, now how incredibly cool is that? There will be one hunt a week and they will be doing it for about a month. So, wish me luck y'all!!

Crazy Busy

Sorry I've been scarce lately. I haven't had much time to blog lately. I have been working my tail off and I think that I mentioned before that I've been having hard drive issues on my laptop, so I am using Dan's desktop for the time being.

Yesterday, we managed to reformat my C drive and reinstall Windows. We got it all up and running and then... it flipped out again. So, I think that we are going to have to send it back to Dell to have them fix it.

Dan took the boys out to play hockey at a park near my brother's house. They have a roller hockey rink over there, so that's why he went that far. I guess now would be a good time to pay my

bills. It's a good thing I can pay my car insurance online, I really hate mailing things. I pay all my bills online. I think the only one I don't pay online is my rent. Everything is either online or on the phone.

The price of gas isn't the only thing to go up lately.. the price of stamps is kinda crazy too, and I had no idea until I had asked my mom if she had one. I haven't bought stamps in so long, I had no idea they weren't still .37 cents.

I should get out more. Shh, don't let hubby hear me say that.

Hey Look, It's Sunday!

Not sure where the week went, it seems to be a huge blur for me. I've been quite busy working, trying to put out new stuff each week, especially having this rockin new store to stock up! I really enjoyed my first week at the O. Everyone is so friendly and a pleasure to work with over there.

I haven't had any luck getting my computer reformatted yet. Only because I can't find my XP disc OR the Vista disc that came with my laptop. I did manage to find my XP upgrade disc but that doesn't do me any good.

Dan applied for a job at our local electronics store so wish us luck!!

Hmmm yummy!

I've taken over my husband's computer since mine decided it wanted to fizzle out on me, so he's making me look up a certain coffee franchise location nearest the freeway so that he can have a place to meet his buddy tomorrow. They are working out of town this weekend and going up a day early to set up.

I haven't done much of anything today. I got some work things done but I am procrastinating because they are things that I still have a little time to get done but for the most part I took a lazy day. I am sitting here looking around at my living room that was clean but is no longer as the result of my lazy day.. that and the monkeys that inhabit this jungle.

If I sound tired, it's because I am. I had a hard time sleeping last night and ended up falling asleep on the couch. Alright, it's about that time so I am off to feed the monkeys.

Have a great night.

My Day...

Today was kind of an odd day. I was in the middle of writing a fun little blog post when all of a sudden my screen went blue. Yes, that's right I got the dreaded Blue Screen of Death. Luckily, for me I have several means of backups and everything of importance was on my external hard drive and that was not affected. At least someone is looking out for me because if I had lost any of those files I'd be on the couch in the fetal position right now.

So, even though my nearly brand new, under a year old laptop computer built for heavy graphics and gobs of memory took a nose dive I am in a good mood because I didn't lose anything important. Yea me!

My son, Liam, who is 5 and starting Kindergarten this year.. provided I can get his doctor to fill out this form and have it back to me on time, has taken a shine to infomercials. He takes after my mother that way, who I had dubbed "The Queen of Infomercials". She and I used to take Sundays off from life, sleep late, have coffee, make huge Sunday breakfasts, and then spend the rest of the day watching infomercials. At one point she had just about everything that you had ever seen on tv. Wonder Mops, magical pots and pans, colon cleansers, you name it she had it.

Long story a tiny bit shorter, Liam was sitting on the couch the other day when a commercial came on tv. It wasn't quite long or good enough to be called a commercial but not yet long enough to be an actual infomercial.. so let's just call it a infant-mercial. So, he's watching this infant-mercial and he turns to me in his ever so serious sweet little voice and says, "Mom don't you want a Pancake Puff Pan?"

Of course I said no.. but he insisted I did. I must admit those little pancake puff balls filled with ooey gooey chocolate pudding really did look good. I was telling my mom about it the other night and of course the first words out of her mouth.. after the giggling stopped were "Hey, I want one too" Gee how in the world did I know she was going to say that?

Anywa, I hope y'all have a great night.. I've had a long day and I'm headed to bed.

Prescription Plans

It's no secret that I suffer from several medical conditions and that I currently am uninsured medically. My husband's job offered medical benefits but they would have cost us $600 a month out of his check, which if we took we couldn't afford to eat or pay our bills but at the same time we couldn't afford to not have it. We did qualify briefly for state insurance but lost it as hubby got a cost of living raise, so I've been having to pay for my meds out of pocket and sometimes my mom has to pay for it, at least the ones that are most important for me to take daily. The others are important as well but I won't die if I don't take them.

Anyway, I've been doing some research on prescription plans and I've come across some info on Medicare that I thought was interesting. According to Wikipedia: " Medicare Part D is a federal program to subsidize the costs of prescription drugs for Medicare beneficiaries in the United States." I always thought that Medicare was specifically geared towards senior citizens, but I can't find anything in the documents online that specifically say that and from the information I have been finding talks about folks of non-retirement age. I still have alot of reading to do but I am feeling slightly hopeful that maybe I've found away to get coverage for my meds without having to stress myself out constantly. And if not, well I'll search on.

Fingers crossed!!
